According to UFO researcher and author Kevin Randle, the military, under the heading "Project Blue Book", conducted official investigations and refuted claims of about 12,000 UFO sightings from 1947 to 1969. Randle now claims that the U.S. military's files actually substantiate the existence of UFOs.
